I just have to share with you the email that we received from Chad and Dawn when they enquired.
"Three words to describe yourselves:
Form meets Function
Wedding date, location, and anything else you can tell us!:

Though I'm quite certain you get this a lot, we're absolutely nuts about your photographs! After wading through endless so-so sites, we were questioning whether there might be anyone out there who saw the world the way we do.. Then, by chance, a friend who attended a wedding you recently shot sent us your web link and we were blown away by your stunning composition, amazing timing and the life and energy portrayed in your photos. We would be delighted to speak with you about the possibility of you capturing our wedding and the ensuing fracas.
A little about us: We're basically playful, happy goofballs in the pursuit of laughter and great music (Chad: drummer and trombonist ; Dawn: sometime DJ, full-time music fanatic..). We love spending our free time with friends and family. Our friends are a fascinating, eclectic lot that are as fun to look at as they are to spend time with and our families are wonderful, silly folks flinging in from Oahu and the CA central valley..
A little about the rooms: Both the ceremony and the reception are being held at the Lodge Level of the Regency, which we're crazy about, as it's just the most amazing place - full of the echoes of society parties & secret societies - it practically drips mystery.. (not to mention you get to ride the most beautiful, drenched-in-old-gold-paint elevator on the way up!)

Our dream is to do the room proud and transport our guests to the feeling of another time and place from the moment they step off the elevator . The underlying theme of the wedding is a combination of the deep colors and forms of Art Nouveau (dark peacock, etc.), the spirit and graphics of Vaudeville, the excitement of early jazz and the strange mechanical futurism of the early part of the century (ala the Zeppelin, silent movies) with a touch of the streamlined, future forward feeling of deco and a hint of the slightly seamy and mysterious side of Paris and Berlin in the 20's and 30's. Bit of an undertaking I suppose but it keeps us interested in the planning process... And of course music plays an extremely important role.. Plans are in the works for a gypsy jazz band followed by a early blues singer combo, 20's style guest caricatures, etc. Hopefully that description conveys most of what we're hoping with the photography, capturing that same essence via saturated color and black & white that's full of vitality and spark.
We want to throw a wedding that's visually arresting and a tiny bit exotic and a party that's incredibly entertaining and just a tiny bit mysterious.. As long as nobody goes home bored...
We'd love to share more information about us and our personalities. We'd be more than excited if you'd drop us a line."
As you can imagine, with an email like this - being as crazy about photography as we are, and keen to do new and different things... we were gutted, as we were already booked! However, our trusty associates Gen and Hardy were available and did an amazing job!!! Even though we weren't there share in the awesome day, we really felt like we were through the photos.... Go team!
