I realized after posting all of these photos that there are an awful lot of photos of Karin... sorry Ali - but seriously, she is sooo beautiful, we couldn't help it. Ali and Karin were married at the LAX Sheraton in typical Persian style - yummy food and heaps of crazy dancing all night. They even got up on stage to sing and dance with the band!

Megan and Dan were married at the Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay on a beautiful sunny Northern Californian day. Megan actually grew up in the area, before the Ritz-Carlton ever existed there, so it was extra exciting for them to be married on the beaches and cliffs that she played at when she was young.
Megan and Dan were actually set up by Dan's sister and brother in law who were both professors at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where Megan was studying her MFA in Creative Writing. Cute huh? There was a lot of family love that day - I have to say, there were a few times during the speeches that I teared up.
We were especially excited to hear a good friend of the bride and groom, and one of our favorite artists, Sia, sing the acapella song, Never Gonna Leave Me.

Rosanna and Tommy were married at Venteux Vinyards in Paso Robles. The wedding was intimate, romantic and wicked fun. There was lots of wine, lots of dancing, and even a special performance by Tommy and his crazy 80's rock band lip syncing to "Rosanna".
We actually were booked to photograph Rosanna and Tommy's wedding last year, but the venue they were having it at was sold, so they postponed it for a year. We were unfortunately, booked on the day they settled on - so sad for us! But our associate extraordinare, Hardy Wilson and his sidekick Michael Mullady did a fantastic job in our place.

Soo and Seong were married at the St Regis, Monarch Beach on a gorgeous sunny day after a week of rain! Lucky! It was a daytime wedding (which we love!) - coordinated by Ruth Wang from Behind the Scene. The flowers were done by one of our favorite florists - The Treasured Petal. Our favorite part of the day was going down at the St Regis' private beach after the wedding was over with Soo and Seong. What a great idea - to have some time after all the madness to spend some quiet moments with each other (with us there to capture it of course!)
"We absolutely loved going out to the private beach with Dennis & Jaime to wrap up the big day with some memorable photos by the water. It was relaxing and beautiful... like a fresh breath of air, we finally had a chance to recollect ourselves and cherish the moments for many more years to come." - Soo and Seong

Back in the early 90's when I was a sophomore at the University of San Diego, had blue hair, and wore beanies when it wasn't even cold...I met Mike. He and Jami both went to USD but didn't make a connection until years later. Better late than never! They were married in Palm Springs on a gorgeous and mercifully mild (for the high desert) afternoon.
Even though it seems like a given that friends would want to have other friends photograph their wedding, we know that it's a big decision and has to be the right fit on multiple levels. We are truly honored that Jami and Mike had us there with them and wish them all the best!

We met Theresa and Trung at Seb and Brian's wedding last October, so it was lovely to be able to photograph their wedding this April. The ceremony was held at the Saratoga Mountain Winery and the reception was held at an awesome Chinese restaurant, complete with an 8 course meal, tons of toasts and drinking, and our personal favorite of the night... a Lion Dance!

Sarah and Peter were married at el Capitan Canyon. The guests stayed for an extended weekend of "glamping", as the celebrations lasted over several days. Sarah is American and Peter is Canadian - they are both actors - and they are both very funny and very much in love.
The ceremony was all set up inside as the weather called for rain, and at the very last minute they decided to move it outside. The boys all pitched in and moved the beautifully handmade alter... the rain held off until just after the ceremony... and then it poured! The reception completed the fantastic day with oysters, organic/local food, interpretive dancing, and a crazy performance of both national anthems (at the same time).
The next day was a early morning pancake breakfast done to perfection by Sara's Dad!

Victoria and Sam were married in Blenheim, New Zealand at Old Saint Mary's Convent with the ensuing reception at the Marlborough Vintner's Hotel. This was our associate photographer Hardy Wilson's first trip to New Zealand. This is also the first Summer we haven't spent in the southern hemisphere so we were a bit jealous that Hardy got to go... but we were enjoying our winter living to the fullest stateside and photographing Ingrid and Andy on the same day...in snowy Colorado! Hardy and the couple hit it off straightaway and ended up running back into each other traveling across the country not once, but twice! How kiwi is that!

When our friend Ingrid invited us to photograph her wedding, we were over the moon! The wedding was simple; just Ingrid, Andy, and us! In Colorado, you can marry yourselves, you don't even need a witness!

When photographing a 2 person wedding - no guests, no officiant - it's important that you all click, so we were a bit nervous to meet Andy. After about 28 seconds, we realized how much each suited the other and all worries disappeared. The venue was Devil's Thumb Ranch, nestled high in the Colorado Rockies just outside of Winter Park and it was snowy! I say good effort to the two of them for traipsing around in the snow with us, it was such good fun.

Three words to describe yourselves:
"Whimsical, Serious, Focused, Un-stuffy, Really Excited To Get Married! To tell you a little about us:I am 28, he is 32 - we met at a summer camp for kids with terminal illnesses. I was working there as a therapist (I am getting my doctoral in clinical psychology) and he was there volunteering as a doctor (he is in his fellowship in pediatric oncology) and for me - it was love at first sight and I called my best friend and told her I met the man I was going to marry.
Fun facts: I shaved my hair off (all the way off) the night before I met him, our wedding cake is going to be a giant "cupcake" shaped cake, we're getting married at The Beach Point Club in Mamaroneck, NY (in Westchester, which is about 30 minutes outside of Manhattan), I live in NYC, Dan recently moved to Philly to work at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia so we're long-distance right now, he gets stiff in front of cameras sometimes, I dated another Dan Weiser (yes, same first and last name) right before my I started dating my fiance, Dan Weiser, so (at the beginning) Dan was always called DW#2." - Anna and Dan

Well, they didn't really stick to the 3 words... but it was very true to Anna and Dan's personalities - they are both very funny, very excited, and just can't be contained!
